MeLCat Interlibrary Loans Restricted to Livonia Residents

Beginning February 15th, interlibrary loan requests for materials to be sent to any Livonia library made through MeLCat will be restricted to Livonia residents. If you are not a resident of Livonia, make any future requests through your home library. details

New Unemployment Support Group at Civic Center Library

Lapsit

Department: Children's
Location: Civic Center Library
For children ages 12 - 23 months and parent or loving caregiver. Babies are invited to bring a loving caregiver along for songs, simple stories, rhymes, and toy time. Tuesdays, January 12 - March 2. Session I: 12-17 months old 9:30-9:50am. Session II: 18-23 months old 10:30-10:50am.


 

Toddler Plus Storytime

Location: Carl Sandburg Library
For children ages 2 - 3 years old. Tuesdays, January 12 - March 2 at 11:00 am. No registration required. Join us for songs, stories, and toy time! Loving caregiver required. Siblings welcome.

Teen Snow Sculpture Contest

Location: All Livonia Libraries
Do you have a snow day and are left wondering what to do? Enter the Livonia Library’s Teen Snow Sculpture Contest! Open to all teens in grades 7-12. To enter our snow sculpture contest, simply create a sculpture out of snow and submit a photograph of it by Saturday, February 27 at 5:00 p.m. Fabulous prizes will be awarded for winners. There will be additional consideration given to literary or library themed entries. E-mail a digital photograph of your sculpture to pgoonis@livonia.lib.mi.us, noblelibrarian@yahoo.com, or jvisnaw@livonia.lib.mi.us, or leave a photo with one of the Teen Services Librarians at your nearest Livonia branch library, along with your name, grade, school and phone number and/or e-mail address. Winners will be chosen by our Teen Advisory Committee panel during the first week of March. No inappropriate themes please.


 

Will You Be My Valentine?

Department: Children's
Location: Civic Center Library
For children ages 6 - 12. Entry forms available at the Children's Desk from February 1 - 10. Have fun matching up historical and literary figures with their romantic partners. The first 30 participants with correct entries will be invited to pizza and cookies on Valentine's Day.
